Volunteering

Volunteering at SEWBReC

SEWBReC is always keen to find volunteers who may be able to help with the important tasks of computerising paper-based records. In addition, there may also be some opportunities to assist with administrative tasks.

No particular technical skills or knowledge are required, as full training will be given, however it is essential that you have good attention to detail. Some knowledge of local biodiversity would also be advantageous for data entry work.

Ideally we are looking for people who can commit to volunteering for at least half a day per week. If you have more time available that's even better!

Volunteering at SEWBReC is a great way of making contacts and building skills to help you develop your career in the environmental sector.

If you would like to offer your services or to discuss the possibility of volunteering please contact us.

Other Volunteering Opportunities

Many of our partner organisations offer opportunities for gaining voluntary work experience in the environmental sector. This work ranges from practical conservation work through to participating in species surveys. Please see our Contacts and Links page for details of suitable organisations in your local area.

Get Involved in Biological Recording

Another extremely valuable way to get involved in protecting and conserving your local biodiversity is to record what you see. After all, we can't protect what we don't know about. Click here for more information.
